This beautiful trekking tour in the region of Uttarkashi has its own charm and thrill. There are many meadows which are untouched and retain their beauty for decades and one of them is Gidara buygyal which encounter least tourist activities and hence the beauty of this bugyal or meadow is at its pinnacle. This is one the remotest but delightful trek for the trekkers in the Uttarakhand mountain.

This trekking tour starts from Barsu a very attractive village and the people of this village are very simple and innocent. This is a circular trek which starts at Barsu and ended in Bangeli. In this trek, we experience two big meadows of Uttarakhand one is Dayara Bugyal and Gidara Bugyal.

The trek contains lots of hidden gems of the natural weather it is wildlife or vegetation. The trek gives the ultimate bliss of oneness and gives one to come very close to nature. The view of Great Himalaya specially the view of invincible Bandarpoonch from Gidara is absolutely fascinating. It is one of the highest and largest high altitude meadows and larger than the twin meadows of Ali and Bedni Bugyal as well. At the end of the trek, one can relish by taking bath in hot sulphur springs of Gangnani.

Itinerary

08 hours drive to lunch. On the way, we will stop for lunch. The whole journey has a very scenic landscape. We reach a beautiful village Barsu in the evening. It is a very beautiful village having a panoramic view of majestic Himalayas. Here we have an opportunity to intimate with the lifestyle of the village.

Note: It is recommended to arrive early in the morning or arrive one day earlier in Dehradun because of the long drive.

After having breakfast we set off for the 6 hours walk to the Dayara Bugyal. The walk through the dense forest of Rhododendrons, Silver Oak and Deodar trees and view of sky kissing peak is like a dream. We walk for 4 hours to Barnala lake. From here it is only 2 hours to Dayara Bugyal. Dayara Bugyal situated on the lap of the Himalaya with its vast meadows and scenery which the mighty God has to depict on its Nature canvas. As we put our feet on the green carpet of this vast meadow that seems like the gardener has beautifully mowed the grassland. An amazing experience. All our hardship will be taken away as the meadow welcome us with the great panoramic view of some majestic peaks, namely Bandar Poonch (6316 metres) , Kalang (6387 metres), Draupadi ka danda(6000 metres), Gangotri I(6674 metres), Gangotri II (6540 metres), Gangotri III (6620 metres) and Srikantha (6300 metres) are available.

About 5 hours trek takes us to Palatuna (3350mts.). Today the walk is the combination of uphill and downhill. Today trek has lots of excitements, the first one is that you predominantly walk today on the meadows. It seems like you are walking on the green silky carpet. Second is that you will experience the lifestyle of the Nomads who arrives in these meadows before monsoon and it may be possible to see the shepherds with their sheeps grazing around. The trek also gives you a chance to come close and experience the Nomadic lifestyle. On the way, you will see the traditional house of Nomads. You feel you are in the midst of the high Himalayas.

After breakfast 6 hours trek to Gidara Bugyal 3750 metres. The highest point of Gidara Bugyal is 4309 meters. The trails now take you across valleys and over ridges, alternating between stretches of meadow and forest. From Palatuna it is a combination of an uphill and downhill trek but the landscape is very gratifying. When we reach Gidara meadows, we are welcomed by the great view of Himalaya mainly the views of Gangotri and Yamunotri ranges and in front, you will see the great view of invincible Bandarpooch peak engraved in the sky. The Gidara meadow is spread out through several miles and looks like the green silk carpet adorned with few white glaciers. I n this meadow the shepherds and the Nomads leave their castles and horses at the time of monsoon for two to three months (i.e. from the middle of June to middle of Oct.). No one looks after these animals, they live here all by themselves and its look like that they got their own world to graze and to walk on. Our camp is placed in a beautiful setup dominated by the great Himalayas.

Today is the day to say goodbye to our lovely meadows of Gidara and captured all the memories you have in this splendid trek. Today you will come across one stream to cross. We pass some of the beautiful waterfalls. Today the trek is all downhill to your camp.

Today trek is all downhill and at someplace it is going to be steep downhill to our next camping site which is just above the Bangeli village. The trek goes through the well-paved path but muddy which is used by the villagers. Today the walk is in the forest of Oaks, Mapple trees.

You will walk nearly 01 hours to reach the road head. Upon arrival, you will board the vehicle and drive another 45 minutes to Gangnani hot springs where one can take a dip into the sulphur pond to get rid off of all the trek fatigue and rejuvenate oneself. Later 08 hours drive to Dehradun. Please note that you will arrive at Dehradun around 07 pm. Therefore make your onward arrangements after 08 pm.

We shall charge only the services which are paid and non-refundable and our professional charges on the actual basis. This means we will pay you nearly 90% of the payment and if you want to adjust your payment for the next trip then it will be adjusted. But also note that the balance payment for the future tour shall be paid by the client.

Cancellation between 24 days and 14 days to the start of the trek

We will refund you 70% of the payment and if you want to adjust your payment for the next trip then it will be adjusted. But also note that the balance payment for the future tour shall be paid by the client.

Cancellation between 14 days and 10 days to the start of the trek

We will refund you 50% of the payment and if you want to adjust your payment for the next trip then it will be adjusted. But also note that the balance payment for the future tour shall be paid by the client.

Cancellation less than 10 days to the start of the trek

It will be calculated and hence the refund is initiated.
