Lamadugh Trek

2 Days

Lamadugh Trek is known for its spectacular beauty. It is a two-day trek, in which one can quench the beauty of loving nature. Vast valleys with green vegetation feature the intrinsic charm of nature here. The trek starts from Old Manali, from Manu Temple. The steep trail takes you through deodar and pine forests. As you ascend, the captivating beauty of the Upper Kullu Valley will revitalize your senses

Once you reach to the top you will be rewarded with the amazing views of peaks like Deo Tibba and Indrasan and this blazing view is the result of your hardship. You will also experience the mesmerizing beauty of the Bara Shigri glacier. The last part of the trek involves a horizontal movement in the ridge while entering Lamadugh.

It is considered one of the best small treks in Manali.

Our trek leader will contact you a day before so that you will be prepared next day for the trek.
After breakfast our trek leader will meet you in the hotel and after checking out the trek will commence from Manali. The trek will take approximately five hours. The trail climbs steeply to thick forests of Deodar and Pine. There is no water point after departing from Manali until we reach Lama. The climb offers an amazing glimpse of Manali, situated on the left bank of River Beas and the whole upper Kullu valley, which appears swathed in the different colors of the season. As one gains height, the distinct views of different faces of Indrasan, Deo Tibba and the peaks of Bara Shigri glacier open up.
There are several viewpoints that provide panoramic views of Manali and the area above it. In the last stretch the path turns to the right, and one traverses the ridge horizontally and enters Lamadugh, an alpine plateau with a small hut and studded with the thick growth of alpine flowers. Once reached, enjoy the view and one can explore the surrounding of their own to enjoy the beautiful nature and calmness.
